ABOUT
Hi! I’m Elle Ruben (she/they) a Queer, Transfem Creative based in NYC. I’m currently in my Junior year of studying to get my BFA in Drama at NYU Tisch, with two years of primary training in the Experimental Theatre Wing, and coming-up-on one year of advanced training in the Stonestreet Studios Residency Program. I’m a screenwriter, stage and screen actor, and model for local hire in NYC, and the PCNW.

PRESENT
This Spring ’24 semester, I’ve begun writing and workshopping another feature length screenplay, RAVE (working title), a Queer Psychological Thriller/Slasher film featuring an ensemble of queer and trans characters. One of the prime driving forces to write this screenplay has been my opinion that trans people deserve to be both the heroes, and the villains of their own, original stories.
This semester I also decided to continue with my advanced training with the Stonestreet Studios Residency Program, subsequently filming multiple more short films, just a few being: The Heist, Directed and Written by Rebecca Yarsin (bts on left) Full Moon, Directed and Co-Written by Mariano Flores, and The Audition, Directed and Written by Clara McKenzie.
FUTURE
This coming Summer ’24, I am enrolled to study abroad in Athens, Greece, under NYU’s CAS Summer Abroad in Athens Program, where I plan to study Elementary Modern Greek, Greek Drama, and The Archaeology of Greece. I look forward to seeing how the experience inspires and affects my writing ❤
This coming Fall ’24, going into Spring of ’25, I will be beginning my senior year at NYU Tisch, planning to finish up my studies in order to graduate with a BFA in Drama, with a Minor in Film Production. I also plan to complete many editing passes on my aforementioned feature length screenplay, RAVE (working title), with hopes and plans to submit the script for the Spring ’25 Festival Season.
